Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
Romans 12:15
In Romans 12, Paul transitions from theology to practice. In verses 9-21, he presents the characteristics of a true Christian, with love being a primary attribute. Within this context, Paul advocates empathy, encouraging us to weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice.
As believers, we should love those around us and live peacefully with everyone. Part of that involves learning to feel and experience what others are going through.
One risk is to weep with those who rejoice or rejoice with those who weep. Our goal should not be to hold people back or push them forward, regardless of whether we think they need it. This is particularly true for those who are grieving. Instead of trying to fix or dictate the experiences of others, we should aim to live with them peacefully and lovingly, accepting them where they are.
Believers must encourage and build each other up, especially in light of our future hope (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11). Let us be sensitive to the needs of others. Let us meet them where they are and seek to build up from there.

At first I was confused and thought you mistyped when "saying" rejoice with those who weep and weep with those who rejoice. But when it clicked I understood and really appreciated the point you were making.
